Yukong's Best Team Members in Honkai: Star Rail 2026
Yukong, Honkai: Star Rail's Harmony support, uses Roaring Bowstring to boost allies' ATK, Crit Rate, and Crit DMG-still a precise 2026 meta pick.
Yukong, the Foxian helm master of the Xianzhou Luofu, has always been a curious case in Honkai: Star Rail. She is a four-star Imaginary character who follows the Path of Harmony, and her entire kit revolves around a single, fleeting window: the moment after she uses her Skill. In that window, her allies receive Roaring Bowstring, a buff that boosts ATK, Crit Rate, and Crit DMG. But here is the catch—can a support whose buffs vanish so quickly still hold a place in 2026's fast-paced meta? The answer, surprisingly, is yes. When paired with the right teammates, Yukong becomes a scalpel that cuts through the toughest bosses.

Why Yukong Still Matters in 2026
As of 2026, the Harmony roster has exploded. Robin, Ruan Mei, Sparkle, and newer supports dominate many endgame teams. Yet Yukong's unique value is that her buffs can be inherited by follow-up attacks, counters, and extra turns that do not consume a normal turn. That quirk keeps her relevant in specific compositions, especially mono-Imaginary and toughness-break teams. She is not a universal pick, but she is a precision tool.
The golden rule is speed tuning. Yukong must act immediately before the damage dealer who should receive her Roaring Bowstring. If another ally cuts in between, the buff is wasted. Players who master this timing unlock damage ceilings that surprise even veteran Trailblazers.
Quick Ranking Table
| Rank | Character | Why They Work With Yukong |
|---|---|---|
| 9 | Seele | Extra turns do not consume Roaring Bowstring |
| 8 | Welt | Imaginary DMG bonus and toughness break |
| 7 | Blade | AoE damage and follow-up attacks |
| 6 | Silver Wolf | Weakness implant enables mono-Imaginary |
| 5 | Jing Yuan | Lightning Lord attacks without consuming buff |
| 4 | Clara | Counters trigger multiple buffed hits |
| 3 | Luocha | Imaginary synergy and Bowmaster bonus |
| 2 | Physical Trailblazer | Free five-star with flexible damage |
| 1 | Sushang | Skill-point friendly with Eidolon 1 |
9. Seele

Ever since her release during the first limited banner, Seele has stayed as one of the best DPS characters in the game. Whenever she defeats an enemy with any of her abilities, she gets an extra turn in a buffed state that can deal extra damage. In that state, she can only use her Skill and Basic Attack, but the extra turn does not count as a normal turn. That means it will not consume the stack from Yukong's Skill.
Why does this matter? Because Seele can chain kills and keep swinging while still under Yukong's Roaring Bowstring. The downside is speed tuning. Seele gains constant SPD and action advances, so lining her up after Yukong can be frustrating. Still, when it works, the Quantum huntress becomes a blur of buffed slashes.
8. Welt

Yukong has a Passive that increases the Imaginary DMG of all allies present on the field with her. This single-handedly makes her a great party member for Welt since he can deal quite a lot of DMG from his Skill and Ultimate if you build a bit of Crit on him. That is not the only synergy between these two characters.
Welt has one of the highest Toughness-Break DMG when you use his Skill on a single target. Yukong's Talent also lets her deal high Toughness-Break DMG with her Basic Attack. When these two are combined, bosses will hardly have their Toughness bar up for more than a turn. Is there a more satisfying sight than a boss staggering under Imaginary pressure? Probably not.
7. Blade

Being a Stellaron Hunter, Blade has had a lot of hype surrounding him ever since he was first seen at the start of The Xianzhou Luofu story. Thankfully, his release as a playable character did not disappoint. He can deal a ton of damage and is also one of the few Wind DPS characters in the game.
He can deal heavy AoE damage with his Enhanced Basic Attack, Follow-up, and Ultimate. This is very useful with Yukong since you can use her buffs in some way even if he does not get a turn right after her. Although, he partially scales on HP so the ATK buff is not the best for him. Still, the Crit and Imaginary bonus from Yukong's Ultimate can push his damage into terrifying territory.
6. Silver Wolf

Ever since her release, Silver Wolf has dominated the battlefield of Honkai: Star Rail because of her flexibility. The special thing about this character is that she can implant one Weakness from her party members' combat type to one enemy every time she uses her Skill. You can use Yukong in a mono-Imaginary team against any enemy if you have Silver Wolf.
Even if the enemy is not weak to Imaginary, she can help you get that Weakness. The only problem is when the enemy is not weak to both Imaginary and Quantum. Even if you have three Imaginary characters, there is a 50 percent chance of Silver Wolf putting the Quantum Weakness on them. It is a gamble, but when the dice roll in your favor, Yukong's team shreds through enemies that should have been untouchable.
5. Jing Yuan

Jing Yuan's synergy with Yukong can be both amazing and frustrating at the same time. To get value from this team, you have to time Jing Yuan's Lightning Lord just after you use Yukong's Skill. This attack does not count as a turn so it does not consume Yukong's Roaring Bowstring stack.
However, Lightning Lord's SPD increases whenever it gets more stacks from Jing Yuan's Skill and Ultimate. Moreover, the lord cannot attack if Jing Yuan himself is crowd-controlled. As you can probably see, you will have to take care of a bunch of things if you want to use them together. But that is what makes it satisfying. When the Lightning Lord crashes down with Yukong's blessing, entire waves disappear.
4. Clara

Clara is a Destruction character who has a companion called Svarog. Whenever she is attacked, Svarog deals counter damage to one or more enemies on the field. Once again, this attack does not count as a turn, which lets you get multiple extra buffed attacks from Yukong's Skill if the enemy gets a turn right after you use the Skill.
Although, this synergy goes away if two of your characters attack after Yukong's Skill is used and before the enemies get a turn. These two characters can be great if you are fighting a high-level boss since their SPD lets them take a lot of turns. Clara becomes a retaliating fortress, and Yukong turns every enemy attack into a buffed counter.
3. Luocha

Yukong was first released alongside Luocha in the second half of the Version 1.1 update, and there had to be some synergy between them since they are both Imaginary characters. One thing that Luocha and Yukong share is that they can both deal substantial damage to the enemies even though they belong to support paths.
Their overall damage increases with Yukong's Bonus Ability called Bowmaster, and you can also run an Imaginary DMG Bonus Sphere on them to get more value. This is a niche setup that only works when you are using these characters together. But in a mono-Imaginary team, Luocha becomes an unexpected damage dealer while keeping the party alive.
2. Physical Trailblazer

There are a bunch of team members that can bring out Yukong's value in a boss fight, but this character can do it even in normal fights while you are farming in the overworld. Physical Trailblazer is a free Destruction five-star character that everyone gets at the start of the game, and they can deal heavy single and multi-target damage.
When buffed with Yukong's Skill and Ultimate, they can use the stacks efficiently by spreading the damage between all the enemies equally. On the other hand, you can still use them together against a boss enemy because of Trailblazer's Ultimate. For new players in 2026, this is one of the cheapest and most effective Yukong teams available.
1. Sushang

While she might be a great buffer, one downside of using Yukong is that you will need a lot of Skill Points since she needs to use one every time she gets a turn. You would not be able to afford to use that many Skill Points on her in normal circumstances, but it is possible if you use her with Sushang's first Eidolon.
With this Eidolon, Sushang takes zero Skill Points when she uses a Skill against an enemy who does not have a Toughness bar since the consumed Skill Point is regenerated. You can even use a third character that needs some Skill Points in this composition. Sushang and Yukong form a relentless Physical and Imaginary duo that keeps the turn order flowing.
Final Thoughts
Yukong is not the easiest Harmony character to use. She demands speed tuning, skill point management, and a deep understanding of turn order. But for players who enjoy solving puzzles, she rewards them with massive burst windows. In 2026, with so many shiny new supports, it is easy to forget the Foxian helm master. Yet when the stars align, Yukong proves that a four-star from Version 1.1 can still make the meta tremble.
So, will you give her a chance? Or will you let her Roaring Bowstring fade into the archives? The choice, as always, belongs to the Trailblazer.
